Smart Grid – 0.1mm

RhinoGold users would be used to the SmartGrid which allowed modeling with 0.1mm (1/10th mm) precision. It would be a handy feature to have the option to display a SmartGrid in Panther.

Gem Creator

Ability to create custom gem cuts from girdle curves.

The idea is that the user can draw/trace a custom gem shape and the tool can build a custom gem from the input girdle curve.

Will also require options to specify the table height, pavilion depth, etc. This is useful for asymmetrical and non-standard gem cuts (eg:sapphires).

Gem converter / importer

Ability to import gems created in any other 3rd party jewelry plugin. A universal gem importer will allow the use of Panther tools like any of the gem setting tools (head, bezel, halo).
